The well known household name Amdega goes into administration. It really is bad news when you hear of companies that have been established from the start of creation – or so it seems – entering into administration. Established in 1874, based in Darlington and with around 197 staff. Here is an extract of the article from The Guardian:
“Amdega was taken over in August by the PEC Endless which voiced optimism about increasing turnover to over £20 million from 15 countries serviced by sub contractors. But a spokesman for the firm says that administration is the only option after business flopped and a last-minute potential buyer dropped out.”

Is it too late to save parts of the company? Probably not, let’s hope they can do something positive with it!
