I never really understood roomset photography before. It’s related to lifestyle shots for products like conservatories and outdoor furniture like teak and wicker – that sort of thing.
Getting great images of your products can be really difficult and hard work, so you need some ideas on how to save time and still do a great job.
Roomset photography can help with your photo planning and give you at least and edge so that your finished product doesn’t look like you knocked it up with a 1950’s SLR – not that they weren’t great cameras though.
Here is what Powerhouse Photography has to say:
“It does take a bit of planning to do in the most efficient way so that props and room sets can be transformed easily and quickly for clients. For instance, a bedroom roomset could then be changed into a dining room, simply by swapping the bed with a dinner table, adding a few different furnishings and placing a mat onto the floor.”

For me the key here is to get a professional. Almost everyone can take a picture – ask my kids – but when you’re dealing with quality products then you ought to get someone in who knows what they’re doing!
